Stepmothers, Mothers, Daughters, Stepdaughters and All Women Need to Watch This Film!
I’m not a completely wordless stepmother today. It is critical that American #women watch this video. It is a expose of the current social and economic plight of American women. When you watch this, think about how the relationship between step moms, moms and their daughters would be impacted.
A strong stepmother and mom are so critical to fight the outside impulses facing our young girls. Realistically, the same forces faced all of us when we were young. But, it feels so much more intense because of the media impact surrounding all of us. Facebook, Twitter, EMails, and Texting is just overwhelming. So, the visual and verbal assault on women has more forums to expand and grow. Who knows what power a strong stepmother can have on the creation of a young woman? A strong stepmother can make the difference. This film, Miss Representation, is a meaningful and scary look at the role of women in our society.
