Did you know that only one-third of stepfamily marriages last?[1] That is a sobering thought. So, I wondered. What makes some families last and others fall apart? My answer? It’s the Super Stepmom. That’s right. If you have a strong stepmom, you have a much better chance of making it. A stepmom can be a strong force, like a reinforcement. Picture a house foundation when it needs extra support. You nail another board to give it extra help. A super stepmom is like that silent reinforcement. She listens, watches and knows when to speak.
